We have just created a new kit in our electric fence for horses range - the Paddock Plus Electric Fence Kit.  This kit includes a Gallager B60 12 volt  energiser that comes with a 7 year warranty and is the best selling energiser across the globe!  The Paddock Plus Electric Fence Kit is ideal for anyone with a field with a parameter of up to 1km. The kit comes with 200m of tape, but you can easily add more tape to your package. It also comes with 20 electric fence posts, 4 rings, a gate handle and a warning sign.  The only thing you need to add is a 12 volt battery. This kit will allow for a 2 strand fence of up to 100m. If your field is larger, simply add more tape and rope.

The B60 energiser is very easy to install. It has a light to let you know that your fence is working and a light that warns you if your battery is running low. Please nnote that you must register the energiser online to qualify for the 7 year guarantee.

If you field is far from the mains, or if you don't fancy charging your 12 volt leisure battery every 3 or 4 weeks, you may like to consider adding a 10 watt solar panel. This sits on top of your 12 volt battery and charges it up for you. The solar panels are very hardy and a real time saver.  They are extremely reliable for 3 months of the year and during the winter you just need to watch your battery during the darkest months when you may need to give it a couple of extra charges from the mains.

You may also wish to consider getting a fence tester, for any trouble shooting. The electric fence tester is very easy to use. Simply put the probe in the ground and hang the tester on your fence. The lights will tell you how much energy your electric fence is giving out.

Finally, you may wish to consider adding a tape-to-tape connector.  This allows you to easily connect both stripes of electric fence, so both lines are 'live'.
