Electric fence warning sign A customer recently called and asked if they could put more than one energiser on their long electric fence. I’m very glad they asked! You must NEVER put more than one energiser on the same strand of electric fencing because it is dangerous. Pulses from each energiser can essentially ‘merge’ and give a giant zap that could be harmful to anything that comes in contact with it. You can, however, put a separate energiser on each separate strand or line of electric fencing. For example, one energiser for the top line, one for the middle and one for the bottom. You often see this is in places like the outback of Australia where they have huge stretches of fencing to ‘energise’. They have stations that house an energiser for each line of fencing.
