Replacement blades are Wahl #10 Competition Blades or Wahl #10 Wide Blades

There is some confusion surrounding the Lister Libretto Max horse trimmer blades.  The trimmer comes with a clip-on blade made by Lister.  However, when it is time for a new blade, Lister does not make the replacement blade.  Instead, Lister advises you to select the Wahl #10 Competition blade.  You can also use the #10 wide blade, also made by Wahl, if you’d like to trim a larger area.

The Libretto Max is a great, versatile clipper.  It is very quiet and is ideal for part or even full body clips if the coat is not too thick or coarse.

If you already have a Lister Liberty, the Libretto can use both the Liberty battery and the Liberty mains adapter, so all you need to do is buy the actual trimmer itself.  Or if you are in the market for a clipper and trimmer, why not treat yourself to the Lister Liberty and Libretto Deluxe Combi back – which offers great savings over buying the two machines separately.
