NEW Wahl KM Supera Cordless Horse and Dog Clipper
New for 2025, this cordless horse and dog clipper makes a quick clip or trim- or even a marathon clip or trim - easy! These popular 'all-in-one' style machines allow you to both clip and trim your horse, plus your dog if you have one, all with one machine. It takes the popular and easily available A5 snap on style blades. This means the blades are pre-tensioned (no need to fuss getting the right tension) and just snap onto the clipper. You can use the included wide blade to clip the body of the horse and switch to a narrow blade (not included) to trim the more awkward areas and also to clip your dog. This means you only need 1 machine! It comes with a Wide #10 Prime blade, that clips to 1.5mm. (1264-6280). The clipper also has a special mechanism that makes it easy to switch blades without the tongue snapping down (this feature will make sense to anyone who is used to this style of clipper - it is just a small improvement - but great all the same).
The Wahl KM Supera Cordless has 2 speeds - 3000 and 3700 strokes per minute. You use the lower speed if you have a nervous animal or if you are clipping a tricky area. The faster speed is for everything else!
It weighs only 400g making it one of the lightest clippers on the market. It is also nicely balanced in the centre, so very comfortable to use, even when clipping for long periods.
The Supera takes lithium-ion batteries that take 100 minutes to charge and will run for up to 180 minutes on a full charge. It comes with 2 batteries, so this means you get up to 6 hours of clipping, without having to charge anything. The charging stand is really handy as it lets you know how charged the battery is and also acts as a clipper stand (have a look at the picture to see what we mean). Again, this is just a small but handy feature.
The Supera has a brushless motor - which means it has less moving parts, creates less heat and has less need for servicing - always a good thing.

We Say: This another great all-in-one style clipper and we ae seeing more and more people moving to this style. I personally find this much more comfortable to use than the KMC+ Cordless clipper, so it is a great option for horses with 'normal' hair. If you have a really hairy beast, then something more powerful would be better suited.
