The classic steel pig tail post for electric fencing typically used for cattle, sheep and pigs. These posts are much tougher than plastic and due to there triangler foot design they hold the ground a lot better.

If young stock are being contained it is often necessary to have a couple of lower lines of electric fencing on the post. The insulators to do this are Pig Tail Post Insulators and are in the same metal post category as these posts.
