The only way of ensuring a good connection easily.

Knots do not allow the electricity to flow and can almost stop a electric fence after the first 200 meters.

Tape connectors can also be used to secure a gate handle.  Simply thread your tape through the gate handle and use the tape connector to join both pieces of tape.

Tape connectors can also be used for the end of lines.  Simple pull your tape through your last connector, then secure the two bits of tape with a tape connector.
